Translating political priorities :

The 27 ministers responsible for Youth Affairs and the European Commissioner met on Friday 19 November during the formal EU Youth Council. At this meeting the Belgian EU Presidency had the ambition to turn its priorities into political reality. The ministers discussed and adopted the following documents:

  • The resolution on Youth Work.
  • The conclusions in answer to the Commission’s study on access of young people to culture.
  • The European and International policy agendas on children, youth and children’s rights.
  • A debate on Urban Youth and Europe.

Minister Pascal Smet (Flemish Community) chaired the Council, whereas a representative of the German-speaking Community acted as spokesperson for Belgium.

The aforementioned documents are now available (only in English; as soon as the translation in Dutch, French and German are approved they will be made available too)
